Wat Jet Yod (see picture 1, below) is thought to have been built by King Tilokaraja in the mid-15th century. It is characterized by se- ven spires and beautiful stucco sculptures (see picture 2, below). Its shape was probably inspired by the Mahabodhi temple in Pagan (Burma) which again is a replica of the Mahabodhi temple in Bodhgaya in Northeast India.
